Scoular promotes new leaders in Grain Division

OMAHA, Nebraska (September 25, 2026) - Scoular announced today that it has promoted six leaders within its Grain Division with a focus on service to customers and collaboration.

"These leaders will provide excellent service to our customers and partners, whether they are a grower, end user, exporter, or railroad," said Ron Bingham, Scoular Senior Vice President and Grain Division General Manager. "We are focused on the customer - our business is the supply chain and providing solutions to customers throughout the U.S and world."

The six leaders are three overseeing the division's trade, operations and origination and three focused on business development, asset utilization, grower and sustainability programs, among other areas.

• TJ Mandl, Regional General Manager, South . Mandl has spent his 20-year career with Scoular, gaining deep facility and commercial experience. He helped to build Scoular's partnership with Pratt Energy in Pratt, Kansas, and is passionate about safety. engaging with growers, and developing strong teams and individuals.

• Matt O'Hern, Regional General Manager, East. O'Hern began as a management development trainee at Scoular. He has held roles in merchandising, trading, facility management in a variety of locations and has led Scoular's Organic and Identity-Preserved Grains businesses . O'Hern quickly understands complex supply chains and identifies opportunities to improve execution.

• Billy Shortal, Regional General Manager, North . Shortal is a seasoned trader and commercial leader with extensive market knowledge and a track record of delivering results by building collaborative teams. He joined Scoular in 2021 when the company added an Eastern Rail trade team to extend its reach across the United States.

• Melissa Norem, Director of Strategic Projects. Norem oversaw producer strategy at Scoular for the past five years. She is now leading the division's business development, including third-party agreements, acquisitions and divestitures, and low-carbon fuel standards initiatives. Norem previously worked in merchandiser and trader roles at Scoular, cultivating strong relationships with origination and demand customer bases .

• Derek Spears, Director of Grain Operations. Spears is leading operations strategy and execution across the division, including operational leadership, operations engineering, asset utilization, and geographic growth. Spears is a longtime Scoular employee with a strong continuous improvement mindset not only for himself but also for his teams.

• Beth Stebbins, Director of Sustainability and Producer Strategy. Stebbins' role encompasses leading Scoular's producer strategy in addition to continuing to oversee sustainability programs , including regenerative agriculture. Through her sustainability work at Scoular since 2023, she has developed strong farmer relationships and quickly responded to evolving market and regulatory needs.
