MoDOT to close Compton over I-64 overnight through October 4
ST. LOUIS - Drivers who use Compton Avenue to cross Interstate 64 and Forest Park Avenue overnight will need to determine alternate routes over the next two weeks for bridge maintenance.
Weather permitting, crews will close the bridge over the interstate Tuesday, September 24 through Thursday, September 26 and Tuesday, October 1 through Friday, October 4. The bridge will close at 8:30 each night and reopen by 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
During the work, crews will place a protective overlay on the bridge surface.
Detours for the project will be marked. Traffic heading north or south on Compton can use Chouteau, Jefferson and Olive to detour. Traffic heading east on I-64 can use Spruce, Compton, Chouteau, Jefferson and Olive as a detour to exit.
