House Study Committee on Abandoned Child Placement Following Hospital Discharge to Hold Second Meeting in Atlanta Tomorrow

ATLANTA - The House Study Committee on Abandoned Child Placement Following Hospital Discharge, chaired by State Representative Katie Dempsey (R-Rome), will hold its second meeting TOMORROW, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10 a.m. in room 606 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta, Georgia.

Created by House Resolution 611, this study committee will provide gap analysis of community services and resources provided by the public, nonprofit and private sectors to better support minors being discharged from psychiatric hospitalization and acute hospital emergency rooms.
