ADVISORY - HELLAM TOWNSHIP - Shapiro Administration to Announce $13 Million in Tax Credits Supporting Farmers' Work to Improve Soil and Water Quality
Today, Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding will join farmers at Pennsylvania No-Till Alliance's Soil Health Field Day at Flinchbaugh Orchard to encourage farmers to apply for $13 million in tax credits to support their work to improve soil and water quality on their farms. Funding is available through Pennsylvania's innovative conservation financing program, Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP).
These tax credits can be combined with other state funding, including the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program and Conservation Excellence Grants, as well as federal funding, to help pay for farm enhancements that protect the environment and boost both environmental and economic sustainability for farms across Pennsylvania.
Media will have the opportunity to see how farmers are using methods and equipment funded under state conservation programs and witness the benefit first-hand.
