Schedule: The nights of Thursday, Aug. 6 and Friday, Aug. 7

San Francisco County - Caltrans has scheduled lane closures for the 19th Avenue Rehabilitation Project for paving of the California Street and Park Presidio intersection on the nights of Thursday, Aug. 6 and Friday, Aug. 7.

Crews will perform operations in both directions, as follows:

  • Thursday Aug. 6 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning: Two southbound lanes and one northbound lane, plus the median area.
  • Revised: Friday, August 7 from midnight until 5 a.m. the next morning. The remaining northbound lanes and the other southbound lane.

At least one lane on 19th Avenue will be open at all times in each direction.

Within two weeks after paving is completed, crews will return to install the permanent crosswalk striping. Once all other final tasks are completed, the 19th Avenue project is scheduled to be complete.

Residents may experience some noise during work hours.

Motorists can use Clement Street and Lake Street to go around California Street and get back onto Park Presidio.

The alternates routes are as follows:

Northbound route: Northbound Park Presidio to Clement Street; right on Clement Street; left on Funston; continue to Lake Street; left on Lake Street; end detour at Park Presidio.

Southbound route: Southbound Park Presidio to Lake Street; right on Lake Street; left on 14th Ave; continue on 14th Ave; left on Clement Street; end detour at Park Presidio.

The Traffic Detection System for the project was updated earlier this summer.
