First half Personal Property and Real Estate tax payments are due by Friday, June 5, 2026.

If you did not receive your bill, you can access your new bill online at https://staffordcountyva.gov/epay using the account number from a previous bill or call the Treasurer's office at 540-658-8700.

All citizens are encouraged to schedule their payment online or use one of the following methods (per USPS guidance) to avoid a late payment due to a late postmark.

1. Buy your postage at the counter: The printed PVI label at the post office will have a date of acceptance.

2. Ask for a manual postmark: You can have your pre-stamped mail hand-stamped at the post office counter with a postmark.

3. Purchase a Certificate of Mailing: This comes at an additional cost but provides evidence that your mail was accepted at the post office by a certain date.
