Columbia Police respond to shooting on Old Highway 63

At about 2 a.m. on July 19, Columbia Police responded to a shots-fired call in the 10 block of Old Highway 63.

Police officers located an adult male victim with injuries that were not life threatening. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Shortly after the incident, Boone County sheriff's deputies located the suspect's vehicle in the area of McKee Street and Orchard Lane. Lorenzo Toledo, 22, of Columbia, was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
