Urenco will continue to provide enrichment services to the Czech Republic as part of a diversified supply.
We have signed new contracts with energy company ČEZ, a.s. which will see us supply them well into the 2030s.
They have been a customer of Urenco for over 20 years.
Our enriched uranium will be utilised for both the Dukovany and Temelin nuclear power plant (NPP) sites in the country.
Officials from Urenco and ČEZ have met at the British Embassy in Prague to mark the new agreements.
Head of Sales for Urenco, Sarah Riedel, said:
"I am proud that we have extended our long standing supplier relationship with ČEZ, helping the Czech Republic strengthen its energy security.
"ČEZ have been a long-time advocate for diversity of supply and is a leader in new nuclear power in Europe.
"We look forward to supporting ČEZ with enriched uranium for their new reactors, both big and small."
The two companies were hosted at the Embassy by The British Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Matt Field.
Nuclear produces around a third of all electricity in the country.
