DATE : April 21, 2026

CASE: Adrian Romero (Case #22FE014170)

PROSECUTOR: Deputy District Attorney Sydney Fields, Special Assault & Child Abuse Unit

On April 17, 2026, the Honorable James Arguelles sentenced Adrian Romero to 32 years in prison with lifetime 290 registration. On February 3, 2026, Romero was convicted by a jury of eight counts of lewd act upon a child and one count of forcible lewd act upon a child.

Adrian Romero molested the victim when she was 11 years old. The sexual assaults occurred over one year, with a number of incidents involving different conduct. At one point, the victim told a friend that Romero had abused her but did not disclose how she was abused. When the victim turned 18, she disclosed to additional friends and family and ultimately reported Romero to the police. A search was conducted at Romero's home, and his electronic devices were seized. Detectives found over 1,700 searches that were pornographic in nature. Some of the searches were very similar to the acts that Romero committed against the victim.
