Gloria R. Hayward, Sumter County Clerk of Court, is pleased to announce several important updates to public services, including the successful launch of a new e-recording system, a free property fraud alert program, and enhanced cybersecurity measures to protect public records.

To safeguard public records, the Clerk's office has implemented robust cybersecurity measures, funded through the Clerk FL Cybersecurity Grant. These include:

Digitizing Historical Records
The Clerk's office is also digitizing historical court records dating back to 1990, as well as record books dating to 1853, making these documents more accessible and preserving the county's rich history for future generations.
