Heat Advisory and Extreme Heat Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory and Extreme Heat Warning for Pomona starting today, Monday, March 16 and ending Thursday, March 19 with temperatures between 96° and 102°

There will be a high risk for heat illness - especially for young children, seniors, outdoor workers, and those without A/C.

Cooling Centers are available and open to the public as refuge from the heat. The City currently has 2 cooling centers available:

1. Pomona Public Library - 625 S Garey Ave

Mon - Thu: 12pm - 7pm

Sat: 12pm 5pm

2. Palomares Community Center - 499 E Arrow Hwy

Mon - Fri: 10am - 5pm

Stay safe and cool:
-> Drink plenty of fluids
-> Stay in air-conditioned spaces when possible
-> Take frequent rest breaks in shade or cool areas if working outside
