As part of a mission to Central America and the Caribbean, the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Giorgio Silli, paid a brief visit to Honduras, with a stop in Tegucigalpa.
During the visit, Undersecretary Silli met with the newly appointed Honduran Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mireya Agüero.
The two sides expressed their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in the economic and trade, cultural and academic, and security sectors, including through the activities of the Italian-Latin American International Organization (IILA) and initiatives under legal diplomacy programmes, foremost among them the "Falcone-Borsellino" project.
