Save the Date: Join the 55th APRI National Conference in New Orleans

The A. Philip Randolph Institute (APRI) will host its 55th Annual Education Conference from July 22-26, 2026, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.

The A. Philip Randolph Institute is an Organization of Black Trade Unionists who fight for racial equality and economic justice. A. Philip Randolph and Bayard Rustin founded APRI in 1965 to continue the political struggle for all working Americans that they helped start.

A. Philip Randolph founded the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters in 1925, leading Pullman porters in a historic fight against low wages and racial discrimination that won union recognition in 1935. That legacy became part of the TCU/IAM family in 1978, when the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters merged into what is now the Transportation Communications Union (TCU/IAM), carrying forward Randolph's vision of organized labor as a force for dignity and equality.

This annual conference brings together labor leaders, activists, and members from across the country to learn, share experiences, and mobilize around the critical issues facing working people today.

Participants will take part in dynamic training programs and educational workshops designed to strengthen leadership skills, advance racial and economic justice, and build power in our communities and workplaces.

Attendees will also have opportunities to connect with fellow union members and allies, engage with expert speakers, and gain practical strategies to take home and put into action.

Additional details, including conference registration information, will be announced soon.
