When MCC releases the Round 2 seat matrix, candidates will see two categories of Seat Vacancies:
Clear Vacancies: These are seats that are completely vacant. Round 1 unapplied seats, seats that were cancelled due to non-reporting of Round 1 applications, and seats newly approved by NMC will also be categorized as such.
Virtual Vacancies: These represent seats possessed by a candidate allotted in Round 1 but opted for upgradation during Round 2. The seat becomes available for other candidates only if the original occupant of the seat in Round 1 comes along and upgrades into a higher-preference seat in Round 2.
Candidates should complete both registration and fee payment within the prescribed deadlines. Those who are eligible to participate under the MCC counselling rules should also review their candidature status before proceeding.
