Washington, D.C. - Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today issued the following statement after Donald Trump announced the creation of TrumpRx.
"Every American familiar with the Trump record knows that all roads in TrumpRx will lead to Trump's pocket," Wyden said. "TrumpRx is nothing more than a glorified coupon book, and it will advance the Republican agenda to undermine affordable health care for American families. Americans don't want to jump through yet another health care hoop on Trump's self-serving website. Patients deserve to leave the doctor's office, go to the pharmacy, and pay a low price for their medicine-no coupon needed."
This week, Wyden and Senate Democrats announced an effort to lower drug prices by building on Medicare negotiation, cracking down on middlemen, and making smart investments in the cures of tomorrow.
