Celebrating Success: Crossroads Correctional Center Honors Students for Dedication to Learning and Growth

Recognizing progress and celebrating success are key parts of CoreCivic's commitment to fostering positive outcomes for those in our care. At Crossroads Correctional Center in Shelby, Montana, 49 students were recently honored in a graduation ceremony for completing educational programs and demonstrating a dedication to learning, personal growth and achievement.

The graduation highlighted the importance of education in building valuable skills and preparing individuals for successful reentry into their communities. Students completed coursework across six educational programs: the High School Equivalency Test, or HiSET; workforce development and coding (Pivot Tech); carpentry; digital literacy and software proficiency (Advanced Teknimedia); music production and editing (Creative Hope Studios); and Introduction to Psychology.

Each program provides opportunities for students to expand their knowledge, develop practical skills and work toward meaningful personal and educational goals. From academic achievement and career-focused training to personal enrichment and self-development, these programs help students build confidence, strengthen their abilities and prepare for opportunities beyond incarceration.

Warden Billie Reich recognized the graduates' accomplishments and emphasized the positive impact of educational opportunities at Crossroads.

"Forty-nine students graduated from educational programs at Crossroads, marking an important milestone in their personal development. Their success demonstrates the positive impact of education and goal setting, and education provides opportunities for personal growth and successful reentry. We recognize the hard work and dedication of those who have achieved their educational goals," Reich said.

This graduation represents more than the completion of coursework; it reflects the perseverance, commitment and determination required to achieve important goals. Each graduate's accomplishment serves as a reminder of the value of education in creating opportunities for positive change and personal responsibility. Crossroads recognizes the hard work of all 49 graduates and remains committed to supporting educational opportunities that encourage personal growth, skill development and successful reentry into the community.
