Shellfish County Loss Triggers for May 2026

In accordance with Section 9 of the Shellfish Commodity Provisions and Shellfish Data Provisions, the approved counties/parishes will have an updated county loss trigger available by close of business today in the following formats:

The following counties have been triggered for the 2026 commodity year.

In accordance with Sections 10 and 11 of the Shellfish Commodity Provisions, insured producers in the above counties must demonstrate a loss in production below their production guarantee in order to receive an indemnity.
