Traffic change coming to US Highway 24, Peterson Road intersection on Monday
The slip exit lane from northbound Peterson Road to eastbound Space Village Avenue will permanently close on Monday, Feb. 23 as part of the ongoing safety improvement project in the area.
Drivers will need to use the signalized intersection to make an eastbound turn during construction.
Additionally, the northbound lanes from Peterson Space Force Base North Gate to Space Village Avenue will be open alternately to accommodate travelers. This work is expected to last through Friday, Feb. 27. Drivers are encouraged to monitor local traffic signs for the latest information.
The project reconstructs the Highway 24 and Peterson Road Interchange to provide a safer, more secure, and efficient transition to the Peterson Space Force Base North Gate. For more information on the project, including signing up for the monthly newsletter, visit ColoradoSprings.gov/US24Peterson.
