SOCCER CELEBRATION

The global tournament is coming to the City of Chula Vista. From live music to chants, flags, and matchday energy, fans can watch the game that unites the world at the San Diego FC's Soccer Celebration, presented by Adriana's Insurance and hosted by the City of Chula Vista.

The international competition returns this June 11 through July 19, 2026. While San Diego won't host matches, fans across the City can still watch the world's game at match viewing experiences in Chula Vista throughout the soccer tournament's 39-day run.

"We are proud to create locations where families, fans and visitors can come together to celebrate our community," said Mayor John McCann. "These soccer celebrations are about community pride, bringing people together and creating memorable experiences for residents and visitors throughout the summer."

The City of Chula Vista will host San Diego FC Soccer Celebrations, presented by Adriana's Insurance, that are free and open to the public throughout the summer.

The festivities begin Friday, June 12 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center for the USA versus Paraguay match. Gates open at 5 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Fans can watch the match on giant screens while enjoying local food vendors, young future soccer players can scrimmage during the game and adults can enjoy the beer garden. The event will conclude 30 minutes after the match ends.

On Thursday, June 18, starting at 11:30 a.m., the City will transform Third Avenue into an amazing soccer celebration featuring giant-screen broadcasts of the day's matches, including Switzerland versus Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada versus Qatar and Mexico versus Korea Republic. Fans can enjoy local cuisine vendors, family-friendly entertainment and the excitement of matchday throughout the day. Following the final match, attendees are encouraged to stay for a special surprise performance.

The San Diego FC Soccer Celebrations, presented by Adriana's Insurance, will conclude Sunday, July 19 at Southwestern College. Doors open at 11 a.m. for an afternoon community event featuring great food, a beer garden and a live championship match viewing experience on a giant screen.

Every four years, the world stops to watch as football's biggest nations compete on the global stage. This year's tournament expands to 48 teams divided into 12 groups of 4 teams, but there can only be one champion.

Whether you're a lifelong soccer fan or new to the sport, the celebrations offer an opportunity to experience the excitement, culture and community that make soccer one of the world's most popular games.
