Lithuania and Costa Rica sign an agreement on political consultations

On 22 September, the Minister-designate of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica, Arnoldo André Tinoco, in New York. The Foreign Ministers of Lithuania and Costa Rica signed a cooperation agreement establishing a mechanism for political consultations.

Budrys welcomed the intensified cooperation between Lithuania and Costa Rica, invited representatives of the country to come to Vilnius, and expressed hope that the signed agreement would contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

The Minister thanked Costa Rica for its strong position on the Russian aggression in Ukraine and called for it to be maintained. Ministers also discussed economic security and China's economic coercion.
