NEWARK, N.J. - Tomorrow, Friday, July 24 at 10:30 a.m., U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) will join constituents in Newark, NJ to highlight the rising cost of youth sports and push for passage of the Let Kids Play Act, legislation he is co-leading with U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT). The bill would ban private equity "vulture investors" from youth sports and crack down on the predatory fees and practices driving up costs for families nationwide. Local parents and kids will share firsthand accounts of how these rising costs have priced them out of the sports they love.
