On February 26, 2026, Consul General Fu Lihua attended the Chung Wah Community Care Longevity Luncheon 2026 and delivered remarks. Sook Yee Lai MLA, representative of Minister for Multicultural Interest Hon. Dr Tony Buti, Sam Lim MP, Member of Parliament, Mark Irwin,Mayor of city of stirling,Andy Yuan, President of the Chung Wah Association, Mrs Theresa Kwok, CEO of the Chung Wah Community Care and nearly 200 elders of the Chinese community were present.
Consul General Fu extended New Year greetings and best wishes to the seniors, engaged in cordial conversations with them. Fu highlighted the elderly Chinese compatriots' contributions to WA's economic and social development as well as to the multiple culture building. Fu also acknowledged the Chung Wah Association and the Chung Wah Community Care for their long-standing care and support for seniors in Western Australia, encouraging both associations to continue their dedicated efforts in serving and uniting the Chinese Community in WA, including Chinese seniors in the state.
This event marked the 14th Chung Wah Community Care Longevity Luncheon organized by the Chung Wah Community Care. Nearly 60 seniors aged over 90 and several centenarians attended. The atmosphere was joyful, warm, and festive.
