IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 14, 2026 Chairwoman Barela releases statement on President Trump endorsing Greg Cunningham for New Mexico's 2nd Congressional District: Albuquerque, NM - Today, President Trump issued an official endorsement of Greg Cunningham for New Mexico's 2nd Congressional District. A former Marine and detective with the Albuquerque Police Department, Cunningham will run unopposed in the June 2nd Primary Election and will face Rep. Gabe Vasquez in the General Election. "We have an outstanding candidate in Greg Cunningham, we have the momentum, and President Trump's endorsement will give us the edge we need to be victorious in November.
