The City of Pearland will conduct its Election Canvass and Swearing-In Ceremony on Monday, May 11, at 5:30 p.m. at Pearland City Hall. With strong community interest expected, city officials are preparing for large crowds and limited indoor seating.
Space inside the Council Chambers limited due to capacity. Should the room reach capacity, attendees will be directed to remote-viewing locations set up in the City Hall Annex and outside City Hall. Mayor-Elect Wiltz is expected to address the outdoor audience following the meeting.
Parking will be available at the City Hall Annex, with overflow parking designated at the Tom Reid Library, Shadycrest Elementary, and the nearby shopping strip. The City cautions attendees that the City Hall parking lot is expected to be full well before the event begins.
Members of the media are asked to arrive between 4-5 p.m. A single authorized media staging area will be located on-site, and media representatives should coordinate with Public Information Officer Chad Rogers, who will serve as the point of contact throughout the event.
