Peanuts Worldwide and Foundation for Hospital Art donates Peanuts-themed mural to Children’s Hospital

Patients, staff, and visitors to Children's Hospital will soon be greeted by a familiar friendly face - Snoopy! This is thanks to a new mural that was donated to and created by the hospital community on Thursday, October 16. This mural is a permanent gift as part of a joint effort with Peanuts Worldwide and the Foundation for Hospital Art.

With excitement and paintbrushes at hand, patients and staff worked together on Thursday to bring to life the 56"x49" six-panel, paint-by-numbers style mural. This mural celebrates Peanuts' 75th Anniversary year and features colorful images of Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Woodstock, Linus, Lucy, Sally, and Franklin.

The Children's Hospital mural is one of hundreds being placed in hospitals worldwide as part of the "Take Care with Peanuts" Hospital Mural Program. This global caring initiative takes themes directly from Peanuts and encourages everyone to "Take Care of Yourself," "Take Care of Each Other," and "Take Care of the Earth."

"We are thrilled and moved to see Charles Schulz's iconic characters share their irrepressible joy with the patients at Loma Linda Children's Hospital," said Melissa Menta, senior vice president of global brand and communications of Peanuts Worldwide. "At a time when we all need hope and humor, we believe he would be thrilled to know that his work is bringing both to adults and children across the globe."
