Iran voices deep concern over continued attacks on civilian targets in Sudan

Iran's Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemned Sunday's drone strike on the airport and civilian infrastructure in the city of Port Sudan.

Esmaeil Baqaei voiced concern over the ongoing attacks targeting urban civilian facilities, including power stations, hospitals, water treatment plants, and civilian airports. He called for an immediate cessation of attacks on innocent civilians.

Referring to the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe marked by widespread displacement and hunger in Sudan, the Foreign Ministry Spokesman urged the international community, along with relevant international organizations and institutions, to fulfill their responsibilities by working to halt the hostilities. He further called for ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Sudanese people
