Evansville, Ind. - April 1, 2026 - Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry today announced the appointment of Brian S. Mundy P.E., P.S., as City Engineer, effective April 6, 2026.
Mundy will oversee city engineering operations, including the planning, coordination, and execution of capital improvement projects. At the same time, he will provide engineering review and oversight for projects led by other agencies that affect the city.
Mundy brings more than 30 years of experience managing public infrastructure projects spanning water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation systems across consulting, local government, and the private industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and is a licensed Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor.
Mundy began his career in government, serving as County Engineer for Spencer County, Assistant County Engineer for Warrick County, and Project Manager for the Indiana Department of Transportation. He later held senior engineering and leadership roles with Beam, Longest & Neff, LLC, Shoe Carnival, Inc., Wessler Engineering, and WTH Engineering, overseeing planning, design, and construction of major municipal and utility projects. Most recently, Mundy served as a Senior Project Manager at Lochmueller Group, where he managed engineering projects across Indiana, including designing and overseeing a $6.5 million water transmission main project in Montgomery County.
