Congressman Flood Celebrates 2025 Congressional Art Competition Winners

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA - U.S. Congressman Mike Flood recently celebrated the winner and runners-up of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. The two runners-up from Nebraska's First Congressional District will have their artwork displayed in Congressman Flood's District Office in Lincoln and his Washington, D.C. office. The winner's artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol along with other winners from across the country

  • Winner: Drake Porter, Bancroft-Rosalie Community School. "Out of the Shadows" will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building.
  • Runner-up: Kaleigh Sullivan, Bellevue West. "Canyon Echoes" will be displayed in the District Office.
  • Runner-up: Chase Strohmyer, Lincoln North Star. "Holy Bikes" will be displayed in the Washington, D.C. office.

"The talent in our First District is truly impressive," Congressman Flood said. "Thank you to everyone who participated, and congratulations to Drake Porter for his stunning first-place painting. It's an honor to display the work of our up-and-coming artists in the U.S. Capitol, as well as in my offices, as part of this longstanding tradition."

"All submissions were reviewed and rated by an independent panel of art professionals. I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to each of them for generously donating their time, expertise, and dedication to this competition."
