The IMRF Board of Trustees appointed William Stafford as Annuitant Trustee, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Louis Kosiba.
Stafford previously served as Executive Trustee (2009-2015) and Annuitant Trustee (2019-2020). During his previous time on the Board of Trustees, Stafford held all officer positions, including President.
Stafford has an extensive background in local government, including as the Chief Financial Officer for Evanston Township High School District 202 and Director of Finance for the City of Evanston. He has been a member of the Oakton Community College Board of Trustees for more than 16 years.
"I am honored to serve as the Annuitant Trustee. Serving on this board is a privilege, and I'm committed to contributing in every way I can," said Stafford.
Stafford's appointment runs through December 31, 2025. This fall, IMRF will hold an Annuitant Trustee election for a five-year term beginning January 1, 2026.
