Exploring from Villages to Cities, PT Timah's Mobile Health Service Helps Communities Stay Healthy

PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah Tbk continues to expand access to healthcare through its Mobile Health Service program. From January to August 2025, this free healthcare initiative has reached 4,188 people.

Since its launch, PT Timah's Mobile Health Service has regularly visited villages and coastal areas in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province to provide free basic healthcare services.

The program has become a solution for communities who face difficulties accessing healthcare facilities due to distance or financial limitations.

Services include general health check-ups, medical consultations, health education, and free medicine distribution. Professional medical staff are on hand to ensure that communities receive optimal care.

"The Mobile Health Service reflects the company's concern for community health. Its presence is expected to help residents, especially those far from healthcare centers," said PT Timah Tbk's Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan.

Anggi explained that PT Timah Tbk operates three Mobile Health units stationed in Bangka Island, Belitung Island, and Kundur Island. These vehicles, equipped with medical staff, continue to travel around to deliver free healthcare services to communities.

According to Anggi, public interest in the Mobile Health Service is very high. Thousands of people of all ages have benefited, from routine check-ups and early disease detection to preventive care.

Beyond providing healthcare, the Mobile Health Service also serves as an educational platform to raise awareness about healthy lifestyles. This is done through direct counseling and interactions with medical staff in the field.

The Mobile Health Service is part of PT Timah's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in the health sector. Through this initiative, PT Timah is committed not only to mining operations but also to actively improving community well-being.
