Greenberg Traurig Advises Gilde Healthcare on Acquisition of Rudischhauser Surgical Instruments Manufacturing GmbH

BERLIN - Jan. 29, 2026 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig advised Gilde Healthcare-backed portfolio company Surgical Precisions Instruments GmbH on the acquisition of Rudischhauser Surgical Instruments Manufacturing GmbH. This marks another significant milestone in the creation of a leading contract manufacturing group for precision surgical instruments. Rudischhauser joins the existing platform alongside Chr. Diener and Koscher & Würtz, bringing the combined organization to approximately 350 employees.

Gilde Healthcare is a thematic investor managing over €2.6 billion across two health-care-focused fund strategies: Private Equity and Venture & Growth. The Private Equity fund invests in profitable mid-market health care companies based in Northwestern Europe and the Venture & Growth fund invests in digital health care solutions, medical technology, and therapeutics based in Europe and North America.

Headquartered in Tuttlingen, Germany, and founded in 1954, Rudischhauser develops and manufactures complex surgical instruments and implants for leading international medtech companies. The company is recognized as a specialist in complex, reusable surgical instruments, particularly for spine and orthopedic surgery. Gilde Healthcare established its surgical instruments platform through the acquisitions of Chr. Diener and Koscher & Würtz and intends to continue expanding the group through strategic acquisitions and organic growth.

The Greenberg Traurig team advised Gilde Healthcare on this complex transaction, including legal and regulatory due diligence and negotiation of the purchase agreement.
