Robert D. Shank

Frost Brown Todd (FBT) has added employment litigator Robert Shank as a Partner in the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group in Cincinnati. This marks Rob's return to the firm, where he practiced from 1997 through 2008.

Shank is a seasoned lawyer with nearly 30 years of experience litigating in state and federal court. His practice consists of advising and representing employers in a broad range of employment law matters, including those involving non-compete agreements and trade secrets, discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, wrongful termination and retaliation claims.

"Rob is a trusted advisor to clients in all facets of employment law, from representing management in the courtroom to conducting trainings, helping to prevent issues from arising altogether," said Mekesha Montgomery, leader of FBT's Labor and Employment Practice Group. "We are thrilled that Rob has decided to return to Frost Brown Todd at a time when businesses require sophisticated counsel on a wide array of employment issues in a rapidly shifting regulatory environment."

Shank also advises supervisors on key employment law matters to prevent litigation. His trainings often focus on how to comply with applicable laws and regulations, avoid workplace disputes, resolve employee relations problems, and satisfy legitimate employee expectations.

"I'm excited to return to Frost Brown Todd and work with such talented colleagues, both familiar faces and new," said Shank. "I've seen firsthand how the firm's extensive resources and national reach can support clients whenever and wherever they need it-a key benefit when employers are facing novel and high-stakes employment law challenges."

Shank earned his bachelor's degree from Xavier University and his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School. He is a Cincinnati native and has been an active member of several community organizations, including the Hearing, Speech & Deaf Center of Greater Cincinnati and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County.
