PPL Foundation seeks nominations for inspiring STEM Educators

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Aug. 28, 2025) - The PPL Foundation is now accepting nominations for its annual STEM Educator Awards, a competitive grant program that celebrates teachers who spark student interest and achievement in science, technology, engineering and math.

These awards recognize educators who have successfully created engaging, student-centered STEM learning experiences that inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

"STEM education plays a critical role in shaping the future of our communities and workforce," said Lissette Santana, president of the PPL Foundation. "We're proud to honor teachers who bring STEM to life in their classrooms and ignite curiosity and creativity in their students."

One exceptional K-12 STEM teacher will be awarded $2,500 to support classroom resources and professional development. Additionally, three educators - one each from elementary, middle and high school levels - will receive $1,500 to enhance their STEM teaching efforts.

Eligible nominees must be full-time K-12 public school teachers with a minimum of three years of experience and be teaching within PPL Electric's Pennsylvania service area. Teachers may apply directly, or nominations may be submitted by colleagues, students, parents or community members by Sept. 30, 2025. Nomination forms can be found here.

Applications are due by Oct. 30, 2025 at 5 p.m.and can be accessed here.
