Festive Spirit of the 49th Anniversary Health Week of PT Timah in East Belitung, Thousands Join the 'Untuk Merah Putih' Fun Walk

EAST BELITUNG -- The lively celebration of PT Timah Tbk's 49th anniversary was also felt by the people of East Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Thousands of residents gathered to take part in the Health Week held at Nyiur Melambai Beach, Lalang Village, East Belitung Regency, on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Previously, the Health Week series celebrating PT Timah's 49th anniversary under the theme 'Untuk Merah Putih' had also taken place in Karimun Regency, Kundur District, Riau Islands Province.

The Health Week in East Belitung was attended by PT Timah Tbk's Director of Human Resources Andi Seto Gadhista Asapa, Director of Business Development Suhendra Yusuf Ratuprawiranegara, Director of Operations and Production Nur Adi Kuncoro, Independent Commissioner Yuslih Izha Mahendra, East Belitung Regent Kamarudin Muten, Deputy Regent Khairil Anwar, Chairperson of the East Belitung Regional House of Representatives Fezzi Uktolseja, and representatives from the East Belitung and Belitung Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Communication Forum).

In his speech, PT Timah Tbk's Director of Human Resources Andi Seto said the Health Week is part of the company's 49th-anniversary celebration and serves as a moment to share joy with the community.

"The theme of PT Timah Tbk's 49th anniversary is 'Untuk Merah Putih'. This moment also coincides with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Merah Putih is a symbol that not only unites our nation but also inspires us to strengthen one another. Red represents our courage to move forward together for the glory of PT Timah. White reflects sincerity in working, collaborating, and sharing for a better future," he said.

He expressed his appreciation for the community's participation and enthusiasm in the Health Week. According to him, PT Timah remains committed to supporting development and contributing to the people of East Belitung.

"Alhamdulillah, the community's enthusiasm is extraordinary, with people coming from various areas. We also ask for prayers and support from all community members for the company's success so it can continue contributing to society," he added.

Meanwhile, PT Timah Tbk's Independent Commissioner Yuslih Izha Mahendra invited the people of East Belitung to support the company's progress so that its contributions can be continuously felt by the public.

Echoing this sentiment, East Belitung Regent Kamarudin Muten expressed his appreciation for PT Timah's role and contributions to the community.

"Happy 49th anniversary to PT Timah Tbk, and thank you for your contributions to the people of East Belitung. Hopefully, PT Timah will continue to enhance its positive impact in the future," he said.

On this occasion, PT Timah also distributed several CSR program aids, including support for mosque construction, the "Kado Indah Sabrina" concert, machinery for fishermen, home roof repairs, corn-cutting machines, school bags, and medical treatment assistance.

The Health Week event was made even more exciting with a variety of prizes for participants, ranging from motorcycles and electronic devices to hundreds of other giveaways.

As part of the 49th anniversary celebration of PT Timah Tbk, a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding, the event also featured dozens of East Belitung MSMEs participating in a bazaar. The MSME Bazaar is PT Timah's effort to support the local economy by involving small and medium-sized enterprises.

Previously, PT Timah also held its 49th Anniversary Social Service Month in Belitung Island, featuring blood donation and free medical services for the public.

The series of events for PT Timah's 49th anniversary will continue to roll out, beginning on July 25, 2025, and culminating on August 24, 2025, with various beneficial programs for both the public and PT Timah employees, to be held in Pangkalpinang.
