Bath Savings Receives FAME’s Lender at Work for Maine Award

Each year the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) hosts "Showcase Maine," an award ceremony that recognizes "At Work for Maine" individuals and organizations who have distinguished themselves through their commitment in advancing the state's economy and quality higher education.

Bath Savings recently received the Lender at Work for Maine Award in recognition for the bank's partnership with FAME and commitment to Maine people and businesses through innovative financial solutions and community engagement.

Theresa Hodge, Executive Vice President of Commercial Lending at Bath Savings states, "Collaboration is so important when you are trying to help people. If we know a company that needs additional help-and they do not have enough collateral, but we really want to assist this business because we believe in them-we pick up the phone and call FAME. We know that FAME makes a difference and is a great resource."

Over the past year, Bath Savings collaborated with FAME on four loans totaling approximately $2.5 million. This effort helped create and retain 128 Maine jobs in 2021.
