Information on the Mandatory Use of the Rupiah within the Republic of Indonesia

Dear BCA Customers,

In an effort to uphold the sovereignty of the Rupiah within the Republic of Indonesia and support the stability of the Rupiah exchange rate, the Government of Indonesia, through Bank Indonesia, issued Bank Indonesia Regulation (PBI) No. 17/3/PBI/2015 dated March 31, 2015, concerning the Mandatory Use of the Rupiah within the Republic of Indonesia.

BCA fully supports this policy and urges all customers to use the Rupiah for every transaction conducted within the Republic of Indonesia, whether in cash or non-cash.

For your information, this provision does not apply to certain transactions that are exempted in accordance with Bank Indonesia Regulations, including:

• Transactions related to the implementation of the State Budget (APBN);
• Receipt of grants from abroad or provision of grants to foreign countries;
• International trade transactions;
• Bank deposits in foreign currency; or
• International financing transactions.
