Allegheny County - February 24, 2025 - Today, Senator Wayne Fontana announced $1,533,862 in infrastructure grants were awarded to projects and communities throughout the 42nd senatorial district.
"Improving local infrastructure is a smart investment for the state as these projects not only help ensure pedestrian safety and accessibility, but support recreation and business," said Senator Fontana. "I am proud to have advocated for the state investment into these projects."
Since 2016, Fontana has secured $16.6 million in state Multimodal Transportation Funding for projects and communities in his Senate District.

Grants were awarded at the February 24, Commonwealth Financing Authority board meeting from the Multimodal Transportation Fund. Multimodal Transportation Fund grants are intended to encourage economic development and to ensure safe and reliable transportation is available to residents.
