Please join the Department of Mathematics for a Mini Math Talk, "The Unseen Mathematical Forces that Shape Our World" given by Georgia College & State University student Ashton Mullendore on Tuesday, Nov 11, 5-5:30 p.m, in A&S 140. Mini math talks are 20-30-minute presentations about any topic related to math. All are welcome! Snacks will be provided.

Here is an abstract of the talk:

Mathematics is everywhere in our world, but vector fields are singlehandedly one of the most powerful tools when it comes to describing real-world phenomena. Join us as we discuss how these mathematical objects work and how they describe the motion and interaction of objects in the universe!
