City Announces Christmas Schedule for Municipal Services
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (December 21, 2025) - City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed on Christmas, Dec. 25. Public safety and emergency services will remain in operation.
Trash will not be collected on Christmas and instead will be picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 24.
The New Brunswick Free Public Library, 60 Livingston Ave., will close Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m. and remain closed on Christmas. The New Brunswick Senior Citizen Resource Center is also closed in observance of the holiday. The Unity Square Community Center will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Dec. 26.
In addition, federal and state offices will be closed on Christmas. There is no mail delivery, and financial institutions will be closed.
