Reminder: Pinellas County has ended sandbag operations

As a reminder to residents, Pinellas County concluded sandbag operations on Monday, Oct. 7, and no more sandbags will be distributed in unincorporated Pinellas ahead of Hurricane Milton.

Residents are advised to evacuate or secure their home today before the arrival of winds from the storm on Wednesday.

City residents can check with their city on availability of sandbags. Hardware stores may also stock sandbags or other flood barriers. For more information on how to make your plan, visit disaster.pinellas.gov.
