Egypt: Egypt's Domestic Wheat Procurement 2025

Between April 15-July 30, 2025, the Government of Egypt (GoE) procured 3.93 million metric tons of local wheat, an increase of approximately 16 percent compared to last season, but short the 4 million metric tons which the GoE aims to procure by August 15, 2025. For the first time, the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Agency is included on the list of companies receiving local wheat from farmers, as it was announced in Ministerial Decision No. 46 for 2025.
