Forest Preserve Golf New Home For Chicago State University Men's And Women's Golf Teams

Oak Forest, Ill. (September 29, 2026) - svg]:relative [&>svg]:top-1 text-link hover:text-link-hover active:text-link-hover " target="_blank">Forest Preserve Golf has been selected as the new home for the svg]:relative [&>svg]:top-1 text-link hover:text-link-hover active:text-link-hover " target="_blank">Chicago State University Cougars Men's and Women's Golf teams through the 2027 season.

The new partnership is highlighted by the inaugural Windy City Classic NCAA invitational, scheduled for October 5-6 at George W. Dunne National Golf Course in Oak Forest, Illinois. The event marks a significant collaboration between Forest Preserve Golf and Chicago State University, aiming to further elevate and promote collegiate golf in the region.

George W. Dunne National recently completed a comprehensive bunker renovation, enhancing the course's playability and aesthetic appeal. The renovation included reshaping and reducing bunkers, installing new drainage systems, and reinforcing foundations to ensure long-term durability.

The Windy City Classic will commence with a kickoff event at GOLFZON Social in Oak Brook, Illinois, on Saturday, October 3, from 2-5 p.m. This gathering will offer an opportunity for participants, coaches, and fans to engage in a relaxed setting before the tournament begins.

Forest Preserve Golf encompasses 11 facilities throughout the Chicagoland area, including 10 golf courses and three driving ranges. From championship layouts to beginner-friendly courses, these venues cater to golfers of all skill levels. Notable courses include Billy Caldwell Golf Course, Burnham Woods Golf Course, Chick Evans Golf Course, Edgebrook Golf Course, George W. Dunne National, Harry Semrow Driving Range, Highland Woods Golf Course, Indian Boundary Golf Course, Joe Louis Golf Course, Meadowlark, and River Oaks Golf Course.
