Team Up to Clean Up Fiscal Year 2025–2026 Year-End Review

This year, we continued to expand our cleanup efforts into more neighborhoods, build stronger partnerships, and find new and creative ways to serve our community. Team Up to Clean Up increased the number of community cleanups by 44% over last year.

Whether a cleanup is organized by Team Up to Clean Up, a neighborhood association, a business, or another community organization, ES is behind the scenes helping make it successful. From planning the event to hauling away the collected trash.

One of the biggest reasons for our success this year has been the continued growth of our partnerships. By working together, we have been able to expand our reach, support more neighborhoods, and create more opportunities for residents to get involved.

Team Up proudly collaborates with Tucson Clean & Beautiful (TCB) and Old Pueblo Community Services (OPCS). These organizations are out in our neighborhoods every day removing litter, addressing illegal dumping, planting trees, improving public spaces, and caring for Tucson's urban forest through thoughtful planning and maintenance.

Team Up, TCB, OPCS, and all our neighborhood association partners have been able to repurpose durable woven grain bags from local breweries instead of relying solely on traditional heavy plastic trash bags during cleanup events. This simple but effective idea gives each brewery bag a second life before it enters the waste stream, reducing the number of heavy plastic bags used during community cleanups while finding a new purpose for a material that would otherwise be discarded.

This partnership is a great example of how local businesses, nonprofit organizations, volunteers, and Team Up To Clean Up can work together to develop practical, sustainable solutions. The circular economy and environmental stewardship is about more than removing litter it is about reducing waste, reusing resources, and finding creative ways to make the most of the materials we already have.
