Prospect Heights Passes New Ordinance Restricting Certain THC Products

The City of Prospect Heights has passed a new ordinance prohibiting the sale, distribution, and possession of certain THC products within city limits. The ordinance specifically targets illicit THC products, including synthesized THC variants such as Delta-8 and Delta-10, as well as products exceeding legal THC concentration limits.

Under the new law, only state-licensed cannabis businesses operating under Illinois' medical and recreational cannabis laws may sell THC products. Any business or individual found selling or distributing unauthorized THC products will be in violation of city regulations.

This move aims to protect public health and safety by ensuring that all THC products sold in Prospect Heights meet state standards and regulatory oversight. Businesses currently selling tobacco or vape products should review their inventory to ensure compliance with the updated law.
