Building on a strong spirit of cooperation, on 14 July, the SESAR JU welcomed Peet Meng Lau, Permanent Secretary of the Singapore Ministry of Transport, and colleagues for discussions on Europe's ATM modernisation programme and the development of next-generation ATM technologies.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on respective modernisation plans and to reaffirm the shared commitment to closer cooperation following the joint declaration signed by SESAR JU and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) in May 2026.
Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, including artificial intelligence, automation, trajectory-based operations and trusted data exchange, all of which play an important role in enabling safer, more efficient and resilient air traffic management.
The visit marks another step in strengthening the partnership between Europe and Singapore as both sides work together to support the development of interoperable, future-ready ATM systems.
