Man Injured in Crash in the Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood

On Monday, September 21, 2026, at 4:27 p.m., Portland Fire & Rescue and Portland Police officers from East Precinct responded to a crash in the Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood. The crash involved a TriMet Lift Bus and a man on a scooter in the 4300 block of Southeast 136^th Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found the man suffering from life threatening injuries. The adult male was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

The TriMet driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The Portland Police Traffic Division is responding. Southeast 136^th Avenue is closed in both directions between Southeast Center Street and Southeast Cora Street during the investigation.
