MIAMI - Senior Litigation Counsel (SLC) Christopher J. Clark of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida was among 183 Department of Justice employees recognized by Attorney General Todd Blanche and Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA) Director Francey Hakes at the 2026 Director's Awards Ceremony held Oct. 28 in the Great Hall of the Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice Building in Washington, D.C. The awards recognize outstanding achievements by employees of the U.S. Attorney's Offices.

SLC Clark received the Director's Lifetime Exceptional Service Award for his 30 years of distinguished service handling complex federal prosecutions. His work spans narcotics trafficking, organized crime, public corruption, economic crime, appellate litigation, and health care fraud. He prosecuted the Falcon-Magluta cocaine trafficking organization (the "Cocaine Cowboys") and later led Operation Nightingale, a nationwide investigation into fraudulent nursing diplomas that threatened patient safety and the integrity of health care licensing. An experienced trial advocate, he has also trained and mentored federal prosecutors and agents in investigating and trying complex cases. His contributions have strengthened both the district's enforcement work and prosecutorial expertise throughout the Department.
