Call for proposals (restricted) EuropeAid/186235/DD/ACT/YE

The European Union Delegation to Yemen is pleased to announce the publication of a new Call for Proposals as part of the EU Multiannual Support Programme for Yemen 2025-2027.

The global objective of this call for proposals is to support the economic empowerment of women and their inclusion in the formal economy by creating dignified formal jobs, supporting businesses, connecting communities to private sector and financial institutions, and promoting entrepreneurial, digital and financial skills that reduce dependency on external aid and allow communities to reach sustainable livelihoods.

The specific objectives are:

  • Creation of dignified job opportunities for women in all their diversity by strengthening gender-transformative skills development, innovative entrepreneurship capacities, and equitable access to labour markets in emerging and locally viable economic sectors.
  • Enhanced financial inclusion of women, including women-led enterprises through gender-responsive and inclusive legal, regulatory and innovation frameworks and infrastructure in partnership with the public sector, private sector and academia (in partnership with public/private sectors and academia) to improve women's access to finance - ensuring disability-inclusive design in financial products, digital tools, and infrastructure.
  • Established women-led trade and business linkages with EU, Middle East and Gulf region supply chains and B2B networks.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Eligible organizations are non-governmental organisations, private sector operators and international organisations.
  • The initial planned duration of an action cannot be less than 36 months nor exceed 48 months.
  • The actions must be implemented in Yemen.
  • Proposals from local organisations will be strongly encouraged, to promote local ownership.
  • Applications submitted by organizations not established in Yemen must include a partnership with at least one local organization.

The overall indicative amount available for this call for proposals is EUR 5,000,000.
