Cleaning, inspection of St. Clair County bascule bridges May 11-12
PORT HURON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be performing an annual cleaning and safety inspection on the I-69/I-94 BL (Military Street) bridge over the Black River in Port Huron on May 11 and on the M-29 bridge over the Pine River in St. Clair on May 12.
Inspections will be done during 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. During this work, single-lane closures will be in place.
This cleaning and inspection will help ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of the bridges. Lane closures during this type of work are necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists.
