SGMC Health to Host Free Webinar on Bladder and Bowel Control

John Losee, MD, Urology

SGMC Health invites the community to a free educational webinar, "Regain Bladder and Bowel Control," led by John Losee, MD, board-certified urologist. The virtual event will take place on Tuesday, April 29 at 6 pm, and aims to empower individuals who may be silently struggling with overactive bladder (OAB) and fecal incontinence (FI), conditions that are common, yet often misunderstood.

One in six adults suffers from OAB, and one in twelve experiences FI. Though these symptoms are widespread, they are not a normal part of aging. Many people miss out on the activities they love due to uncontrollable urges, frequent accidents, and disrupted sleep. This webinar is designed to provide hope, solutions, and a path to relief.

Dr. Losee will share insight on symptoms, treatment options, and advanced therapies, including neurostimulator therapy with the Medtronic InterStimâ„¢ system, a minimally invasive, implantable device that helps restore bladder and bowel function by gently stimulating the nerves that control them. For those who have found little relief from medications, neurostimulation could be life-changing.

Dr. Losee brings world-class expertise to South Georgia. A graduate of Georgetown University Medical School, he completed both surgical and urology residencies at Georgetown. He currently practices at SGMC Urology alongside Patrick Parker, DO, and a dedicated team, offering expert care for urinary incontinence, prostate conditions, kidney stones, and more.
